What will happen to the idea of protocol based social media if other countries adopt the UK style OSA? Is it illegal to release open source social media software because you can’t keep UK users under 18 from downloading and running it? What about non-Bluesky PBC ATprotocol clients / servers?
OAuth was originally a 6 page spec that you could implement from scratch in a single sitting of coding. ATprotocol's use of PDS's and AppViews was designed to make building clients much easier than the earlier Secure Scuttlebutt protocol. Yet now you can pay $250 for a master class.... RE:
