In this podcast I really get in to the why we need to build protocol based social media, and how we’re using LLM’s and agentic programming to build it. Including the newly launched andotherstuff non-profit. RE:
Why didn’t Jack ban Trump over the years? It was a giant free speech debate but the reality is the decision was driven by markets, capitalism, and corporate law. RE:
We deserve better & we can build it! Using social media we should demand these basic rights! Don't use systems that don't uphold these rights. Don't build systems that go against our interests and users. Why we need a social media bill of rights! [www.techdirt.com/2025/07/17/w...]( ) [We Deserve Better: A New Socia...]( )
I made a podcast and released the first episode today. I talk to Jack Dorsey and we get in to Elon buying Twitter and he goes in to depth about why he left Bluesky. RE:
Why is it that 1password releases an entirely new app every version and makes me start over and install it as if it's totally new, 1password 6, 1password 7, now 1password 8... i also want to refuse to upgrade because i'm pissed at how they make me jump through stupid hoops.
We can build a better social media ecosystem, based on open protocols like ATprotocol. RE:
I'm starting a podcast, [@revolution.social]( ) to talk about social media and our need to move from platforms to protocols. My first episode is a sit down with Jack Dorsey, where he explains in more detail about why he helped create Bluesky and then choose to leave it. What actual benefit does New Zealand or any place get from hosing an AI datacenter? It's not like we've got excess electricity. And while the economic investment in the data center is huge, the economic impact on the country is a net negative. No taxes or jobs. I'm a bit confused, putting a hard cap of letting people only take $5000 out of the country seems like a pretty crazy policy proposal form a 'pro-business' and 'pro-market' center right government. New Zealand has a system where any local council can put items on the heritage list with a simple majority vote, but it is nearly impossible to take things off the list. We've got heritage rusting gas tanks, crumbling sea walls, & condemned apartments from the 1960's [thespinoff.co.nz/politics/09-...]( ) [This Wellington sea wall shows...]( )
