Volkswagen is releasing a pickup truck with a true bench seat. Which sounds awesome. It's available as an EV, or an extended EV, which means it has a gas engine to recharge the EV battery. Which sounds weird. The gas engine does not make the car go, it only charges the battery that makes the car go. There's still the pollution from gas, the decreased efficiency of battery. It's the worst of both worlds.

My gay housemate is now 90% moved in with his male girlfriend. He spends most of his time there, and every time he visits here, he leaves with a wagon full of belongings. I'm sorry to see him go, as he is an entertaining person. I had hoped to have a good effect on him, and in a lot of ways, there's been progress, with room left to grow. I'm also glad, as his politics caused friction, and instead of mellowing, he was doubling down on a lot of things.
