Bureaucracy / democracy is like a see-saw.
It's the same ride.
Unelected bureaucrats rule the EU tyrannically. One-size-fits-all from Brussels.
But in the U.S., elected officials rule unconstitutionally. One-size-fits all from DC.
In America, elections make an almost imperceptible difference. The policies of the Empire are set in stone.
Elections just provide a false legitimacy, where the voters think they're steering a ship that they do not steer at all.
I'm most interested in what a government can do, rather than how they get into power.
Give me a politician or king that will:
- Care about my country's well-being
- NEVER steal my earnings,
- NEVER destroy the currency
- NEVER fight non-defensive wars
- NEVER take away my God-given freedoms
...and I don't care if a politician or king is there for life!
Right now, all of these things are violated in the bureaucratic EU, and the democratic U.S.
