I know I’ve brought this up before, but the difference in engagement between here and NormieFedi is stark. Over there a popular post will have 2-600 reposts and like 8 comments. Conversely, here a popular post is 20+ reposts but invariably has twice number of replies in the thread. And don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of lurkers here too, but i think the proportion here is probably half that of NormieFedi.

It's not the incoming snow that has me bothered, it's that the cold looks like it'll be staying around. Do you have a non-electric source of emergency heat? Food (and water) for at least a few days? I need to truck some logs closer to the house and buck them up on Thursday before the cold really sets in.
