Every day we learn more about Bitcoin. This week's meeting was engaging and educative. Lessons learnt: Bitcoin isn't just digital money, it's a revolution in how we think about trust, ownership, and freedom. It's about taking control. We have elaborated on the true definition of Bitcoin, how Bitcoin works, and how to use Bitcoin. We touched on wallets i.e. (custodial and self-custodial) and also importantly several things to consider when choosing a wallet. It was a productive, fun, and educative lesson. Thank you to @mukungufelix.
This week we are learning about building bitcoin communities. The heart of Bitcoin lies not only in its code, but in the people who believe in its vision. Building communities around it is essential for spreading knowledge, encouraging responsible use, and driving real-world impact. Strong Bitcoin communities create spaces—both online and in person—where ideas can be exchanged, questions can be answered, and newcomers are supported. These spaces foster learning and curiosity, breaking down technical barriers and making the technology more approachable. Local meetups, educational content, and peer-to-peer connections play a major role. They help connect individuals who are passionate about financial freedom and decentralized systems. When people come together with a shared purpose, innovation and adoption follow naturally. Trust, openness, and consistency make a community sustainable. Whether it’s organizing a workshop, translating materials, or simply helping someone buy their first SATs, every action builds momentum. Communities are how ideas grow into movements. By focusing on education, inclusion, and empowerment, Bitcoin communities can help shape a more open and accessible future—one block at a time. image
On the 6th of this month, we started sending $5 in sats weekly to our new group of moms. They now know how to make #Bitcoin transactions and are supporting our merchants weekly. We also pay 4 employees in BTC every week meaning even more Bitcoin transactions for our merchants! It's vital merchants keep receiving #BTC to get fully acquainted & see it as a true medium of exchange. Thanks #Bitcoin Babies team and Moms for keeping the momentum.
🌸🐣 This Easter, take a moment to reflect on new beginnings—not just in nature, but in how we think about money. Whether you're using Bitcoin to spend, earn, or save, the principles behind it remain steady—even on holidays. Here’s to a season of growth, clear intention, and building a future that’s truly ours to shape. Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful Easter from all of us. 💛🐰 image

This week at our weekly Bitcoin Babies mums' meeting, we focused on something fundamental: Bitcoin transactions. In a circular economy, knowing how to use a wallet to send, receive, and manage Bitcoin isn't optional—it's essential. We broke down: – How wallets work (keys and all) – The difference between custodial and self-custodial options – How to use blink and Machankura wallets – Checking balances, understanding fees, and basic security We wrapped up by putting it all into practice—creating invoices for each other, sending tips, and getting comfortable with real transactions. #Bitcoin #BitcoinEducation #BitcoinBabies image
On Saturday, 5th April, Bitcoin Babies was honoured to attend and represented by Veronica our Circular Economy Specialist at BitBiashara Graduation Ceremony, a vibrant celebration of entrepreneurs who took the bold step to study both Bitcoin and business. These weren’t ordinary graduates. They are everyday heroes — women, men, mothers, youth — business owners who said yes to learning how Bitcoin can be used as a medium of exchange and a tool for building better lives. We had deep conversations around: - Grassroots Bitcoin adoption in Kenya - Building real circular economies - How merchants can grow their businesses by accepting Bitcoin - Empowering small businesses with knowledge and financial freedom But this wasn’t just theory. Bitcoin Babies has already been making an impact in the community — one sat at a time. -Levinah, owns a grocery store, saved the SATs she earned from her sales and recently stocked her new business - Joyce, who runs a local salon, received a fresh makeover of her space through the Bitcoin Babies program. Today, she proudly welcomes new and returning clients to a better-looking salon. - James another entrepreneur in our community, was able to design and pay for his new business banner using SATs from previous sales. These are just a few of the stories that remind us: Bitcoin isn’t about speculation — it’s about dignity, opportunity, and empowerment. At Bitcoin Babies, we’re building circular economies, offering business grants in SATs, and showing families how to save for their children’s futures — all powered by Bitcoin. Congratulations to all the BitBiashara graduates! We are so proud of you. Your courage to learn and grow is what grassroots Bitcoin adoption is all about. Let’s keep building — for ourselves, for our children, for the community. #BitcoinBabies #BitBiashara #BitcoinEducation #CircularEconomy #GrassrootsAdoption #Entrepreneurship #BitcoinKenya #SoundMoney #BTCForBusiness #BitcoinAfrica
