@npub1vfra...mcck Just brought the two Dell R420 from a gentelmen who was getting rid of bunch of the for 70 euro a pop \o/ Now we need to do some switchero of disks, cards, set things up figure out if we have compatible rack rails, and hopefully we wont have to reinstall OS. This is a nice milestone as we finally decommission last Dell RX10. That means more quiet, faster and less power hungry servers. The addition of the two R420 will work nice for years to come as low priority servers like head-server for jbod or staging servers. Production is now a mix of R640 and R740

Little update on the backup system for those following. We just run some test backup runs on small datasets (privatebin) and seems like things are working. So the next day we will run data backups to new system and decommission the current backup server in the datacenter, which will be replaced with a staging server. \o/
