Without removing the CPI, last cycle looked right-translated, and would make current right-translation look out of place. See how the high of last cycle was actually the left of the two tops of last cycle, while with the monsterous inflation of 2020 actually had that second peak hitting a new high dollar amount with CPI included in the USD price.
