Midday Arashiyama street food tour πŸ€™πŸ½
@awayslice , the shojin ryori places near where I am were closed today, still on the prowl for yuba and heading to nishiki market tomorrow. Will update with food pics as things develop. Other than that, think I had a pretty good first touch in Kyoto, got into some gyudon, shrimp/chicken tempura udon, octopus carpaccio, urchin and salmon roe pacific oysters on the half shell (with sake of course)
Kyoto is even more amazing than I imagined. I spent all day walking in parks and temples, feeling more relaxed than I have in a long time. The pictures don’t capture the full experience but I am glad I have them as mementos. Couldn’t fit all 200, but these were a few of my favorites. #shrinestr
