New TPB article out now from @npub12lzw...ntw2 Breaking down GOP budget proposals. “As progressive Bitcoiners, we stand at the intersection of financial sovereignty and social justice. The proposed budget changes challenge us to consider how our values align with the future being charted. While decentralization offers a path to empowerment, it must be coupled with policies that promote equity, sustainability, and opportunity for all.” image
ROSS IS FREE 🙌 We’re making a point to express our gratitude and enthusiasm that Ross is now free. Many in progressive and mainstream media circles lambast this as a disastrous and corrupt decision for a drug dealing criminal. But if you’re a progressive who supports decriminalization or legalization of drugs, allow yourself to consider the following: Ross created Silk Road, a platform that reduced street violence by allowing people to safely and anonymously buy drugs online. While the platform had its flaws, his life sentence without parole is shockingly disproportionate for a nonviolent, first-time offender. Pardoning Ross isn’t about excusing his mistakes, which even he admits… It’s about addressing excessive sentencing, reforming our justice system, and aligning with the progressive values of fairness, rehabilitation, and harm reduction in drug policy. And what Ross did for bitcoin, by showing the world the largest example of bitcoin as peer to peer payments, permissonless transactions without traditional financial rails, the important of privacy and anonymity, can’t be overstated. And now, the cypherpunk ethos is back in the mainstream for Bitcoin. Let’s continue to focus on and build for resistance and freedom money! ✊ image
