Just a reminder that the ability to run arbitrary code should be associated with freedom, not danger. They are trying to convince you of the latter. Cling to your God-given liberties and reject the safety of their walled gardens. View quoted note β†’
Good morning from Lake Satoshi β€” make sure to say hi if you’re here too. 🧑
If you accept sponsorship money from HWW companies that act aggressively towards open source projects... AND aren’t sharing your podcast or conference platform with those building DIY/FOSS cold storage tools... There's a question you should maybe be asking yourself. image
If in fact most of the internet is going to be kyc’d, what do you think is going to happen to commercial hardware wallets that are manufactured by state-registered companies? View quoted note β†’

Several people have reached out about this. There are apparently at least 10 URLs that were purchased on 5 separate days over a period of 3.5 years, all appear to have the same owner. Some of them seem intended to interfere with our ability to fundraise or accept donations? I honestly could see this sort of thing as a one-off or as a mean joke if you're having a bad day, but the pattern here comes across as something different. Given how many podcasts and conferences his sponsorships touch it feels like behaving this way towards a FOSS project should be a bigger deal? If Nostr is indeed legit with regard to wanting open source to flourish, it seems like this would be of interest here especially. image
