Religion is when you try to work on yourself to get closer to God. Spiritual growth is when God works on yourself to get closer to you Religion is like man climbing a ladder to get to God. Spiritual growth is God coming down to meet you where you’re at and then bettering you so He can bring you up If your spiritual walk feels heavy, that’s most likely religion. If you feel lighter, if you feel free, if you have liberty and peace, things don’t affect you that much — it is spiritual growth Religion says do more. Relationship with God says you are enough because I sent somebody to do all of your work Religion says it is not enough. Spiritual growth says it is finished, τετελεσται
