If you want to eat more healthy foods cooked from home but don’t want to spend hours cooking every day… Get a crockpot!! They literally cost $40 (or less if you’re brave enough to get a used one at a thrift store) 1. Put almost any cut of meat in there, a little liquid (broth, wine, or even water), some salt, and herbs for bonus points 2. Turn it on low and wait 8 hours 3. Enjoy! You can pair this with potatoes, rice, or your carb of choice for a meal that’s healthier than 99.9% of restaurant meals
The most convincing lies are always a partial truth I used to think partial truths were better than full lies because at least they were leading people down a path closer to the truth But now I think partial truths are more harmful because they are close enough to the truth that it is harder for someone to recognize it as a lie, turn away from it, and find THE Truth that is Christ Jesus #asknostr what do you think is worse - Partial truths or full lies?
GM! Thinking a lot lately about how harmful microwaves are (and not the ones in our kitchen - but those are harmful too) There are metaphorical microwaves implanted throughout our society - the surface level issues such as fast food and “buy now pay later” schemes for commercial goods reveal a lot about the deeper issues such as marriages that end quicker than they began and people seeking quick fixes outside of the Lord rather than waiting on His promises Just like slow cooked food is better than a microwave dinner, God’s promises are so much greater than the instant gratification of the new age “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
GM good people! This Sunday - September 21, 2025 - is national “Back to Church Sunday” and over 40,000 churches across the US are going to be participating What this means is that many churches are going to have block parties, food, or other fun activities after service to invite the community in and help new people get connected If you’ve been feeling the push to go back to church and don’t know where to start - this is a great weekend to go If you’re already a member at a church, this is a great excuse to invite someone (Also every Sunday after that is also a great time to go back to church or invite someone) Have a great day friends 😊
Something I love doing is thrift shopping for high quality natural fiber clothes (silk, linen, cotton, wool, hemp) I find a lot of great stuff that I don’t need because I already have something similar or it doesn’t fit me I’m wondering if anyone on Nostr would be interested in buying second hand clothes for sats? Maybe some of you value the ethos and price benefits of second hand but don’t enjoy spending hours shopping Playing around with this idea, lmk what you think or if you would be interested!
You don’t need to be a “good cook” to eat healthy, yummy food you made at home Just go get a few pounds of ground beef, cook it on the stove and throw in a packet of taco seasoning (I use Siete brand) Then cook some white rice Violà! You have a meal that is healthier than 99% of restaurant or store bought food 😊
It is amazing how much God will transform your heart when you make a choice to love and follow Him When I first started going to my church over a year ago, I loved hearing the message but I did not look forward to the worship - I even wanted to show up late so I didn’t have to be there for all the worship But after I gave my life to Christ, I slowly started finding myself singing along Now a year has passed and I look forward to worship at church and listen to worship songs while in my car or doing work around the house BTW the worship team at my church has always been amazing, they haven’t changed, but my heart has I say this to encourage anyone who is just starting to go back to church, who maybe feels a resistance to some part of the service, whether it is worship or even the message Make a choice to follow God and see how he will transform your heart ❤️
GM! The 1% rule says that each day you can make a small change, and each of these small changes compound to change your life. What change are you making today?

GM! 🥞 For breakfast I’ve been making these high protein pancakes with a few simple ingredients (and no protein powders :)) When made with non-fat yogurt, this recipe makes 2 servings with ~27g of protein, ~40g of carbs, ~5g fat each serving Staple ingredients: - 1 cup rolled oats, blended into a flour (I use sprouted organic oats from one-degree organics) - 2 tsp baking soda - 2 eggs -1 cup plain Greek yogurt (I use nonfat) - 1-3 tbsp milk (or water) To taste add: - vanilla (I use 1 tsp) - cinnamon - pinch of salt - maple syrup (I use1 tbsp) I mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately, then combine. I then cook these on a cast iron skillet with a bit of @Great Ghee but you could also use coconut oil (I don’t recommend butter because it will burn) Top with some bananas, maple syrup, and butter if you wish (not included in the macros above) Hope you all have a great day! image
