I’ve taken many shots like this, every year, with the same subject and in the same place. Yet I’m still fascinated by this perspective. This one is from just a few hours ago: the sunset and the "fragile" flower. A breath of wind will be enough, and the flower, as we see it, will vanish. Yet it will be everywhere, spreading itself across the world. There it stands, swaying in the gentle air and the soft warmth of a November sunset, defying whatever happens around it. No yesterday, no tomorrow - just here, now, basking in this poetic light.
