Finally set up an air gapped wallet. I've been cowboying it with a hot wallet on mobile. Feels good.
The ability to put the xpub in an Internet-connected Sparrow as view only makes occasional deposits from DCA exchange stack convenient.
I did have a paper wallet once, probably pre $10k BTC.
Here I am again I guess. My time preference is much lower now.
About a year ago I bought a well pump and pressure tank to try to renovate an abandoned well at my home. Unfortunately, I ultimately abandoned the project on the advice of a local well company who advised me that the well was dry and not worth pursuing.
I'm selling the equipment at a loss and will recoup the loss through buying Bitcoin with the proceeds.
I'm also going through all my stuff and parting ways with other things to stack more sats.
We like the good money.
I just sent my first zaps after finally migrating to self-hosted Alby Hub.
The process was pretty darn smooth and to be fair any issues or complexity came from me attempting to build from source and run it on a Raspberry Pi4. I'm not giving up but it's a battle for another day.
Next steps for me are to evaluate monitoring and observability to maintain my lightning node.
