So what do we do with the ๐๐๐ in the Bible who actually went astray, sinned sexually, or spread false doctrine? I don't hear anyone pointing to them, or men today who commit much more egregious acts than expressing their thoughts, saying,
โ๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ต๐ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ๐ปโ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐.โ No, our response is usually, "๐ป๐๐ค ๐๐๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐กโ๐๐?!"
Sin isnโt gender-specific.
And neither is calling.
So if weโre going to make this about gender, then letโs be consistentโ

Not to mention the long line of men in Scripture who failed, fell, or flat-out rebelled:

๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐น: Anointed by God, later rejected for disobedience (1 Sam. 15).
๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฑ: A man after Godโs own heartโwho committed adultery and murder (2 Sam. 11).
๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป: First high priest, but led Israel into idolatry by making the golden calf (Ex. 32:1โ6).
๐ฆ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: The wisest man alive, yet turned to idolatry (1 Kings 11:4โ11).
๐๐น๐ถโ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ (๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ต๐ป๐ถ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ต๐ฎ๐): Priests who stole sacrifices and slept with women at the entrance to the tent of meeting (1 Sam. 2:12โ25).
๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ๐: Lied to the Holy Spirit and died under judgment (Acts 5:1โ5).
๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐: Abandoned Paul because he โloved this present worldโ (2 Tim. 4:10).
Letโs be honest: the issue isnโt that women are more prone to deception, sin, immorality, or that they were divinely designed to live under male authority.
The real issue is ๐ธ๐ฉ๐ฐ ๐ธ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐จ๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ถ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณโ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ธ๐ฉ๐ฐ ๐ธ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฏโ๐ต.
We have a real problem with labeling control and power as holiness and obedience.
So, if weโre going to weaponize Scripture against women,
letโs be just as rigorous with menโ
but then we'd have no one left standing.

We could repent for how weโve mishandled Godโs commission.
We could honor the ๐คโ๐๐๐ Body of Christโmale and female.
We could submit to the Spirit who anoints whoever He chooses.
We could finally stop defending abusive, misogynistic systemsโ
and start defending the heart of God for all.โ
