My keyboard didn't register the Windows Key + "." shortcut I use to open the Emoji picker, or the G I typed to search for "grimace."
Which is how, instead of expressing sympathetic concern over my project manager's issue with "😬," I sent her the inscrutable (bordering on inappropriate) message "Rimace" in Teams.
I, the person arriving five minutes before the post office opens, am a prudent and punctual planner.
The people who were already there and filling all twenty spots in the parking lots, however, are selfish, possibly bordering on psychotic.
The Fediverse has its problems (holy fuck, does it ever), but what I've found here means more to me than Twitter, App.net, Bluesky, and the rest of them put together. It's my digital home.

As long as it’s your content, anyhow. Reposting other people’s posts from other sites without attribution is tacky as fuck.
