I like going to town and running into people I know. I like helping neighbors, buying produce from local farmers and trading for fish and firewood. I like not ever having to lock my doors. I like walking along the headlands by the ocean. Maybe I should move to Mendocino.

My friends in the city lie on the couch and call out “Alexa, set the temperature to 72 degrees.” Meanwhile I go out in the rain to the woodshed, load in some logs, set paper and kindling and like to get it going with just one match. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

There’s bitcoin. Then there’s a plethora of copycats trying to reinvent the wheel, some legitimate attempts at a business, some trying to extract people’s dollars, some outright scams, all adding confusion for everyone who doesn’t understand… bitcoin.
