"Do not strut in conceit. You can neither tear the earth apart, nor can you match the mountains in height." 17:37 The Quran uses the imagery of mountains very often because mountainous terrain can teach a person so much about the power of the one who created them, how small a human really is and how much merciful bounty reaches us. These pillars of snow and ice at Elliot Glacier are the size of BUILDINGS the picture cannot do it justice. You can hear the thunderous sound of the ice crack as it melts. its crevasses are often hidden by snow, a heavy step over a weak snow bridge sends you plummeting hundreds of feet to certain death. Allah describes the difficulty of living a good life as 'Aqabah" (The steep path), no matter how many times I tread it, literally and figuratively, I am shocked by its difficulty. Allah describes the earth as "Sutihat" (spread out). visiting terrain as impassable as this, one must think to themselves... "the whole world could've been this way" The Prophet (saw) spent his days on jabal noor, that's where he meditated, that's where his lord guided him. It's true what they say "mountains love sages, sages love mountains"
This is my good friend smiley, he's a new brother here. Welcome him to the noor node and zap him. Allah ma3kum View quoted note →
