Apple iPhone 6 running Linux 6.13 and postmarketOS. It's on. Special Thanks to @npub1xhad...dvs8 for doing the work to make this possible. I just got it booting with pmOS. #iPhone #iOS #Apple #postmarketOS #Linux #MobileLinux #LinuxMobile image
Okay, I just got two iphone 6's. Time for some postmarketOS porting. (After I find a lightning cable with a USB-A port.)
What is up with #iPhone jailbreaking methods not open-sourcing? From what I have read apparently it is to lower trolling and "copycats", but it seems that that happens anyways. I am mostly talking about #checkra1n since that seems to be the biggest worried about open-source. It said that it would open-source four years ago (almost five now) but that never happened. How can I trust something that works so low-level without the code? Quite worrying imo. #FOSS #OpenSource #Apple #iOS #JailBreak
Drew like a dark, messed up version of postmarketOS haha. Just a glimpse into my dark reality. A full stare into my twisted perspective would make most simply go insane lmao. image
Since I am the newest Trusted Contributor with #postmarketOS I thought I would give a little introductory post. :blob_derpy: Heyo! My name is Aster (he/they) and I do stuff with #Linux! I am hard at work getting immutability up and running on pmOS with the help of the amazing work being done to port #systemd. You may know me for my work on #Lomiri on pmOS, my favorite #MobileLinux desktop environment! I also dabble in #Rustlang and a bit of #Haskell. Excited to work with all of y'all!
Dear Fedi, Is there anything that would make contributing to or generally using #postmarketOS or #MobileLinux in general easier for you? What makes contributing or using harder? I am not only talking about big issues, but what are the little things that annoy you occasionally? Could be as big as having to make git forge accounts and as small as having to know how to use the command-line. #Linux
Want to test #systemd in #postmarketOS a bit more in-depth? I wrote a shell script (my first serious one ever) to convert APK packages into systemd-sysext (and confext) images. This isn't anything that will go into pmOS proper, just me messing around with stuff that *could* work. #MobileLinux #Linux #AlpineLinux
