its funny how every other microblogging platform (Threads, Farcaster, Mastodon) is rushing to copy Bluesky and add Starter Packs while Bluesky is slowly coming to the realisation that Starter Packs might be bad actually RE:
as a side note: I think people dont appreciate enough how incredible quickly good/valuable posts spread through a community So if you block all followers of someone, there is not actually a real risk of missing 'valuable content'. Good content gets copied and spread immediately anyway RE: View quoted note β†’
I love the Dutch Championships Headwind Cycling, it is is one of the funniest parts of Dutch culture. The race is done on a single-geared city bike (back-pedal brake), and you have to cross the Oosterschelde Dam. The race happens when there is a storm that gives you direct headwind. there a few realisations as powerful and radicalising as this one imo, since the implications on how our global information ecosystem works are so wide ranging RE: View quoted note β†’
it is very funny to use pictures as hashtags for people who cannot read RE:
I've been keeping track of how many people mention the idea of insta on atproto, and its a lot at this point shows how the direction of a network is less dependent on the space of possibilities, and much more on the people willing to push it in the direction they envision RE: View quoted note β†’
writing is thinking, and its annoying how much your brain tricks you into pretending that thinking about writing is also thinking

Im concerned by the lack of plan regarding this role. Dont even know if its fulltime or parttime, which continent it will be based on, and what the idea is once the funding money runs out RE:
