My main request if/when the labeling system gets revamped is that there becomes a clear distinction between labeling-as-moderation and labeling-as-selfexpression. They build for the former, and got the latter, and these are just very different usecases

No comment on whether this is a problem or not, but social networks are very clearly entering their Balkanisation era; the incentives for literally all actors is to segregate even further

im doing some work for a client and did some quick maths comparing engagement numbers on the different social networks, and its absolutely insane how a publication on bluesky with a literal 1% of following numbers compared to X has the same number of engagement here
