not complaining about hating on X, but I think this is the new normal. The day of having only one microblogging platform is truly over, and were now in a phase of multiple networks (threads/x/bsky/fedi) all competing and rapidly iterating/implementing each others features

i can see paid link-aggregator communities working, but only in a context where access/payment is fully controlled by the community owners themselves without any intermediary (such as reddit the company)
