Update 4 on the Viking bust I'm carving out basswood... See if you can spot the refinements made to my last post ..

Update 3 on the viking bust I've been carving. Have added layers and texture to the hair, definition to the face and eyes. Hat detail added and horns of helmet refined. Pelt around shoulders has begun to be formed. Extremely happy with the progress on this model!

Update 2 on the viking bust I'm carving from basswood. Added some hair structure and texture. Now need to work on the ears and refining the hair. Eyes need to be carved and nose shaped.
