Finished Halsell, _Prophecy and Politics: The Secret Alliance Between Israel and the U. S. Christian Right_ (1989) - excellent read; amazing that she had her 'finger on the pulse' of this movement back in the early 1980s. A light reworking of the 1986 first edition, and the basis of her later book, _Forcing God's Hand_ (1999/2003). This one was better, though the latter had more updated examples. More evidence that although 1948 was huge, everything changed in 1967.
Next up: Jimmy Carter, _Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid_ (2006).
