You’re trying to find the exact number where the average person goes, „Ah yes. I have been professionally bamboozled“, lol, but here’s the twist: the answer isn’t a number. It’s a setting from my point of view. Some people have their skepticism knob permanently set to „factory default“ and some never installed the update. And that’s where #unschooling comes in. Because when you’re unschooled, you’re not trained to memorize answers and trust the authority that handed them to you. You’re trained to ask, „Wait… does this actually make sense????“ You learn pattern recognition, not obedience. So after Lie #3, you’re already side-eyeing the calculator and questioning who programmed it. Unschooling doesn’t guarantee you won’t be lied to, but what I see, it just makes sure you don’t keep counting lies like they’re Pokémon you’re supposed to collect. In short: Unschooling isn’t about avoiding education. It’s about avoiding the math problem where the solution is „believe them harder“. image
This goes out to all the #homeschooling, #worldschooling and #unschoolig #families out there, living their lives completely different form the norm, challenging the status quo day by day, and creating change in this world through creating new/old ways to educate kids! <3
This beautiful #dog named Kleini just moved in with us - looking for a lovely family for her. If someone knows someone in #Mexico <3 image
Peter Young is a pioneering force at the Free Cities Foundation, passionately advancing the frontiers of freedom and innovation in city-building. He champions the development of autonomous cities grounded in self-governance and free-market ideals. Peter collaborates with a wide range of partners to transform the ambitious concept of free cities into tangible reality, establishing himself as a central figure in the push for greater independence and freedom in urban governance. Peter Young recently joined the Wild Life #Unschooling #Podcast for an outstanding conversation covering the #libertarian way of life, free private cities, and much more! We delved deeply into libertarian living principles and their connections to concepts like special economic zones. Peter’s insights were eye-opening, delivering bold new viewpoints on governance and #community that boldly challenge conventional norms! ❤️
In this talk, we look at #homeschooling/#unschooling from different perspectives, and about how to jump into the unknown - with Michael Jordan from @The Bitcoin Way. image
School is the opposite of what humans need to reach their full potential. #School teaches more through its structure than its content: • Sit still • Don’t question • Wait for permission • Follow instructions • Obey authority • Don’t take risks This conditioning stays far longer than any algebra formulas. And exactly this is the problem! #Unschooling/#homeschooling/#worldschooling, by contrast, teaches: • Self-direction • Problem-finding • Intrinsic motivation • Resourcefulness • Self-respect • Agency One prepares you for managing yourself. The other prepares you for being managed. Set your kids free and follow me into the unschooling rabbit hole ♥️ https://fountain.fm/show/0cjwJbTn6z3lPXNX8ISg image
Like many parents, I've had moments of wondering if I'm failing my #kid. I went through that same process when I began questioning the traditional school system. Initially, I worried about how school might fail my #child, but then I started to consider if not following the traditional route of #education would lead to failure on my part. Taking the full responsibility for your kids' education can be scary, absolutely. But the more I let go and reflect on our fears, the more I realized - hey, nothing to be afraid of, the biggest thread to my kid is already out the way: traditional schooling. In this episode, I'm talking to the founder of The Hub, Luba Vangelova, about the depths of this fear of failing our kids, and how to escape that fearful cycle and head into a future full of trust. Luba is an #unschooling mum herself, she shares a lot about her perspective on unschooling, and of course she introduces us to The Hub, a unique learning-cohort programs for unschooled/homeschooled tweens and teens! image
🤔💭 What really went down with Operation Paperclip after World War II? Why do politicians get legal immunity? How did the Moon end up at the exact distance and size to perfectly eclipse the Sun—neither too big, too small, nor off to the side? Why was the concert pitch standardized at 440 Hz in 1939, over the objections of so many musicians who preferred 432 Hz? Ever notice how signing the cross in church traces what looks like an upside-down cross if you follow the lines? Why are babies getting more and more vaccines in their early years? What's the story behind that Egyptian pyramid on the U.S. dollar bill? Why do we pay to live on a planet we were born on? How could NASA "lose" the original footage from one of humanity's greatest achievements, the Moon landing? Why hasn't anyone returned to the Moon since the early 1970s? If Neil Armstrong was first on the Moon, who was holding the camera? Why do hospital meals suck so bad and cost so much when good nutrition is exactly what sick people need? Why weren't we taught about the Rhine Meadows Camps in school history lessons? Why did 56 countries sign a treaty banning exploration in Antarctica? Why do official NASA Earth photos show continents in wildly different sizes and proportions over the years? Why is 95% of our DNA labeled "junk" and who decided that? How did people living in huts, riding horse carts, with no machines or lasers, build those massive, perfectly symmetrical cathedrals and government buildings? Why does the same ancient, pre-flood-style architecture pop up all over the world? Why are mushrooms all over ancient Christian artwork? #unschooling #homeschooling #worldschooling image
You already learned a lot about Bitcoin on this pod, now it’s time to climb up a layer and talk about the Lightning Network. This episode is about #Bitcoin, focus on #Lightning, and "working on your own dreams". What does this have to do with unschooling? Everything. Because with a shitty monetary system, we don't have the time to work on our dreams, because we're too busy surviving everyday life. Ivan Makedonski from @Breez ⚡️ has all the answers to your Lightning questions – and probably also the final answer to why self-sovereign parents like you, need Lightning as a fast, secure and cheap payment solution, that is based on Bitcoin. image
Serious question: should we be preparing kids for the current economy, or the one that will exist in 20 years? Because, most of the parents I talk to want to see change, but still send their kids to #school to learn things that won't prepare them for "the change".
