This brings back memories of fights about reading assessments in SF not being fair to teachers. The surreal failures in education policy in CA lie squarely with the Dems not wanting to rock the boat. On the Natalism Discourse: my persistent frustration w/liberals is the lack of understanding of how to play oppositional power politics. This is how the right comes to own - and then gut - so many common sense issues the left could win - how “achievement” or “merit” came to be right-coded, for ex.
#Propaganda101: Propagandists frame arguments by redefining their terms to suit themselves — right there in the moment. Here, we have “<term>, which means <ridiculous exaggeration tapping MAGA victim complex>” It’s often some BS thought-terminating cliche- but it’s effective for their audience. RE:
