The same applies with misuse of the term “conspiracy theorist.” If you describe a network of aligned interests working together toward a goal and provide supporting evidence, you are not engaging in a “conspiracy theory” but rather are observing the dynamics of a conspiracy occurring in plain sight.

TNR called me a “conspiracy theorist” for saying that Russia and white nationalists were involved in Trump’s election in 2016 and “unhinged” for suggesting that child rape material could be used to compromise Trump.
Both of my assertions are widely accepted as fact now, but the TNR articles remain.
It is infuriating that the @newrepublic.com@bsky.brid.gy would publish a piece like this without addressing the role it played in the very dynamic explored or the serious reputational damage its actions caused. On the petty side, Trump’s abuse of the concept of percentages irritates me far more than it perhaps should.
He can lie if he wants (and always does), but I draw a line at the misuse of basic mathematics.
Projection, inversion of the truth, fantasy, continuous lying, and lots of yelling.
What a complete waste of time.
On the plus side, this shows they must feel desperate to try to change the narrative.
