Every year during the 5 years I stayed, there was the sonar festival in Barcelona, still is I think. And every year I'd get in either via someone's guest list or by climbing a fence, stumbling upon a staff tag or some shit. it was dope! But generally speaking, everything happening in the clubs that was unrelated to sonar during that period, the "off-sonar", would be even doper. You'd basically get to see the talents playing next year at sonar, but in a more intimate setting and cheap as fuck. I'd always play some venues, thinking eventually I'll end up at the sonar. Although I quickly came to terms with the fact that I was neither ready nor willing to do the things required to thrive in that industry, my music career was fairly successful. But an invitation to plat sonar never manifested. And thus, after the third year, I declared my self the cockroach of sonar, and made a banger about it.
