Can I start putting Nobel Prize Nominee on my resume now?
It’s so annoying that they basically hand out IP addresses if you want them, but if you want your own TLD in DNS it’s gonna cost you like a million+ bucks. ICANN is a shitty company anyways, between removing their price cap on .org domains to sell it to private equity, and giving the .amazon TLD to Amazon the company after 7 years of dispute, instead of Amazon *the region that makes up half of South America.* So I wouldn’t want to give them a dime anyways, but weren’t there any DNS nerds in the 80s & 90s who could’ve stopped this corporate nonsense? #ICANN #DNS
