As a boy Jerry Lawler liked drawing superhero comics, and then drew some wrestlers. He mailed his drawings in to a TV station, they showed them on the air, they asked him to work in the wrestling promotion. He lied and said he'd wrestled, so he got matches. And from there he found a 50 year career (incl. working w. Andy Kaufman) ... dressed more or less as a superhero.
