I am a believer in and follower of Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God.
I grew up in a belief system known as Dispensationalism. Even though we didn't know it had a name. Over the years, I had developed issues with this system of biblical interpretation. Certain patterns of behavior that I saw (and still see) in my community troubled me.
So I have been reevaluating my methodology.
After many, many hours of biblical study and prayer, I now realize this system of hermeneutic practice is incorrect and, in many ways, a distorted view of God's holy word.
I am now convinced that Covenant Theology is the most aligned with the biblical intent of scripture.
I pray I can be a light to enable those around me to see God's word more clearly.
I pray we have a legitimate ceasefire confirmed by both sides tomorrow.
If we do then #Trump has played 4D chess yet again.
But the risk was high on this one. This is why I'm not the president.
No invasion or attempt at regime change? Then I'm very happy. 🎉
No more forever wars.
Now lets get back to fixing our culture, the spending problem and illegal immigration.
Trying to halt an entire people’s intellectual development means embracing the very totalitarian tactics Christians normally condemn.
God governs by inviting, not coercing, human obedience.
So many Christians don't act in their own or their families best interest because they are cowardice and non-confrontational.
They lie to themselves and say that they are "taking the high road".
Sometimes when you pray for a boat, God sends a helicopter. You should just get on the vehicle and thank God for the opportunity.
The lineage of Adam in Genesis tells the story of Christ. Each name has a deeper meaning in Hebrew.
Adam = “man/humankind”
Seth = “appointed, set”
Enosh = “mortal man”
Kenan = “lament/sorrow"
Mahalalel = “the Blessed/Praised God”
Jared = “shall descend / comes down”
Enoch = “dedicated” “consecrated teacher”
Methuselah = “his death shall send/bring”
Lamech = “despairing / strong”
Noah = “rest, comfort”
“Man, appointed to mortal sorrow—
yet the Blessed God will come down, consecrated to teach; and by His death He will bring the despairing into rest.”
You will never be able to convince me that the Bible is not a supernatural message from God to us all.
