Every photo of Luigi Mangione I’ve seen since the perp walk has him surrounded by cops, even during hearings. They’re treating him like he’s Jason Bourne. That doesn’t happen. I’ve been in plenty of courtrooms where two deputies or jailers hustle ten or twelve inmates into the courtroom, then the officers take turns getting coffee. The gaggle of police around Mangione at the defense table are purely for intimidation and optics.

Winston had his first visit to the dog park and walking trail today. He was uncertain about what all these new sights and scents were, but thoroughly enjoyed himself. He’s now parked in the Winston Cubby beneath the coffee bar.

I think the first person I’d like to boost this month is @npub1r3xk...4a09, who’s the administrator of beige.party. It was his idea to establish Beige, and he maintains it. He’s a level-headed, kind, and funny host who takes seriously the job of looking after beige members and keeping harmful people away. He stays mindful of the health of the instance, even when he’s dealing with his own grief.
