the more i see of prime 4 the more im disappointed, i "get" what theyre going for, these western devs/writers want us to see how cool Samus is, so they insert these annoying ass npcs that soy over Samus "OMG SAMUS YOURE SOOO COOL" which comes across as stupid, hell, compare that to 3 where soldiers clearly admire Samus, but they keep it professional, as soldiers would, they dont soy over her.
prime 4 is going down a stupid and annoying path, if you need to have npcs glaze the protag then youre doing something wrong, Metroid Dread achieved this in a great way, by having Samus not be phased by her enemies or by taking them head on, you didnt need an npc to tell you how cool she is, you saw how cool she was through actions alone, having a character soy out just takes you out, particularly in this context, shes not visiting a high school, shes out on a mission and meeting federation soldiers, shit comes across as cheap fanfic writing, god i hate jews
