This is how it always has been for Palestinians, fascism at their doorstep. The invaders using one tragedy to embark on another having learned zero from history. The Holocaust to them an opportunity to build a colony in the Middle East.
The religious fanatics see the Palestinians as inferior, so would always expect to subjugate them from an institutional point of view.
All of the countries who signed the U.N partition plan in 1948 bear some responsibility for what is unfolding. We don't get to pick and choose what wrongs from the past will be righted. What about truth & reconciliation? You believe the U.N charter & international law can be rescued but it can't be right now because of the Veto power. The system that voted to carve up Palestine (correct me if I'm wrong) did not forsee that the "Israeli" occupiers & there UK/US backers would behave as rogue states, and have done so for the longest time.
