Some people live in a fantasy land where they think they can remove all guns and it will be a good thing.
No.
First, remove all bad people. Then tell me there will be no more bad people in the future.
Congratulations; you have contradicted the prophecies of scripture.
Is *removing guns* essentially *removing agency* from Christians? When the world turns against us, will we just have to roll over and die?
I get zero feedback from nostr (Amethyst). No one responds to me. No one talks. Twitter also has a web client that I can open on my computer. Amethyst is only in my phone.
Nostr I guess is like a semi public journal of notes for me then. A diary. Not much "social" about it yet.
I mean compared to *nothing* it is impressive. But compared to the Twitter experience, it's lacking.
"mommy, why did someone shoot daddy?"
"because they didn't like daddy"
"why?"
"because they didn't like what he said"
"but why did they have to shoot him for it?"
Perhaps we should ask Cain the same, about why he killed Abel.
On the back deck looking up at the stars, I once described the Milky Way as "the universe's pussy", and it was quite hilarious.
There are people in sub-Saharan Africa wondering why there are fast stars now
Man fuck the Charlie Kirk thing. I just know it's going to be a pivotal point. I just don't know what the future looks like, in terms of politics.
Will the left become more center? Will party lines erode and extremists be rejected and relabeled?
Scripture says that at the end, " the love of many will grow cold " and it's " because of the increase in wickedness ". We certainly see that.
We see it because we are able to see it through social media. So the wickedness is increased to our perspective, regardless of whether it has increased on an absolute scale. We just see it more because of TikTok and Twitter.
God is the only hope, with his love for us manifested in Jesus Christ. But the hope, I fear, may take the form of God getting his people instead of God strengthening his people, in the world that is evil. That's the rapture. And for me at least, things are feeling a lot heavier this month than they did last month.
Granted, it is September — the autumn
You notice only what you notice.
When my father in law visits us, we always have to wipe up after him. He greases everything up with his greasy hands that he doesn't wipe.
If you claim your zaps on earth, you will have no zaps in heaven
