Here’s what I feel though, yesterday’s PEPT judgment mostly came down to our laws, the people and the type of judiciary we operate. I think our laws and judicial system are designed for plaintiffs and defendants to have an equal chance of winning any criminal trial regardless of the truth. I also think the only way for Nigeria to get better is for people to get involved in governance at the grass-root; and not just politics
A judicial system that seeks the truth is better than a judicial system that waits for evidence beyond reasonable doubt to be brought forward. He who can conceal evidence better, stands a better chance of getting a favourable judgment.
