Google’s methods are opaque enough that I’d hesitate to draw any particularly strong conclusions, but opening a Private Browsing window and searching for “Can my husband …” and “Can my wife …” certainly produces some striking contrasts in the autocompletes.
One thing I appreciate about Apple product videos is they way that, when they focus on the usefulness of their laptops for research, they really get the details of my life as an academic researcher just right.
