"Just" 270 MB for...an idle server? Debian is still a great distributions but let's measure the ram consumption of a freshly installed *BSD or Illumos based server. The numbers are totally different. #RunBSD #illumos #FreeBSD #OpenBSD #NetBSD #DragonflyBSD View quoted note →

Painting walls is hard work.
This is a great post. It's not "against" something - it just explains why Tim prefers to use the BSDs. #RunBSD #FreeBSD #NetBSD #OpenBSD #DragonflyBSD #IT View quoted note →
This Isn't a Battle After reading a post describing the FreeBSD community as 'toxic', I share a different perspective. This isn't a battle. It's a reflection on coexistence, the original Open Source spirit, and the quiet richness of taking a different path. #MyNotes #IT #SysAdmin #FreeBSD #NetBSD #OpenBSD #Linux #OpenSource
Barista or Painter? Part 2 Testing the old manual method for comparison. The result is clear: the traditional method works fine for the walls, while the spray setup is much better for the ceiling and corners. The tech part? That small box contains a NodeMCU v3 and a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor, installed in 2018. Today I am also a painter. But I am a Barista and a nerd every day 🙂 #DIY image
I’ve taken many shots like this, every year, with the same subject and in the same place. Yet I’m still fascinated by this perspective. This one is from just a few hours ago: the sunset and the "fragile" flower. A breath of wind will be enough, and the flower, as we see it, will vanish. Yet it will be everywhere, spreading itself across the world. There it stands, swaying in the gentle air and the soft warmth of a November sunset, defying whatever happens around it. No yesterday, no tomorrow - just here, now, basking in this poetic light. And life, silently, flows on. #Photography #Photo #Pic #Sunset #Italy #Italia #Autumn #Fall #Reflections #NaturePhotography #Nature #Life image
