"-isms represent a departure from the heart at all levels. Love is a boomerang. Whatever we put out, comes back. And you have to deal with it. You cannot hide from that reality. The UN-questioned mind suffocates the soul, leaving it susceptible to -isms. Whenever a culture's myth breaks down, -isms pop up all over and that is extremely dangerous." image

"Attraction & Authenticity: If you are presenting a version of yourself that doesn't reflect how you truly feel inside you will naturally attract the wrong people and opportunities into your life. You won't develop healthy fulfilling relationships because these people aren't even aware of who you really are. And you'll attract opportunities that leave you feeling empty and disconnected. Not being authentic becomes painful. It forces you to wear a mask and hide your true self from the world. This 'inner conflict' manifests physically in the form of all sorts of health issues (anxiety, depression, cancer, you name it). By speaking our truth and openly expressing our genuine thoughts and emotions, we create space to find the people we are truly meant to connect with. When we live from the heart, everything begins to fall into place. And from that place of 'inner harmony' our health improves." - River Rudhe
"These are smugglers in the life of eternity." "What do you mean?" He smiled and answered firmly: "They believed that earthly assets would have the same value on the planes of the spirit. They believed that criminal pleasure, the power of money, rebellion against the law and the imposition of their whims on others would cross the boundary of the grave and still be the case here, offering them new opportunities for further evil doings. They were thoughtless businessmen. They forgot to exchange their material acquisitions for spiritual credit. They didn't learn the simplest currency exchange operation in the world. When they traveled to London, for instance, they never forgot to exchange their Brazilian contos de rΓ©is 3 for pounds sterling. However, the mathematical certainty of physical death didn't stimulate them to accumulate spiritual value. Now ... look at them: millionaires of the physical plane transformed into beggars of the soul." image

Spoke with Joe Kelly at Unchained about the challenges of building the company, curiosity in Christ, God, and more. Here’s a preview of the convo.
Over the course of the last 6 years or so, I’ve become a vivacious learner, sometimes to my benefit and other times to the sacrifice of my own sanity. I tend to follow my natural curiously as most humans do, but there can be times and people that digest things for the sake of social acceptance, which ultimately leads to a degradation of your own spirit. Recently I’ve been engaged with Christianity and if you had asked me even 5-6 months ago that I’d be increasingly curious about Christ, I’d be quite surprised. The following books have been very helpful for me before diving into the Bible. And Jordan Peterson’s Lecture series are astonishingly helpful for conceptualizing the utility of Christian faith from an Evolutionary, Psychoanalytic, Literary, Moral, Practical, Rational (But no more reductionistic than necessary), and Phenomenological perspective. I find that a lot of people don’t know about JP’s series. I am taking detailed notes on the first two, and will hopefully take notes on every one. If you’d be interested in seeing the notes compiled, like this post.
Interviewed a local Austinite who tapped into Proof of Work in life by losing 110 lbs naturally and keeping it off for 5 years. Episode #61 releases on Monday.
The balance between Pride and Humility. This part of the Tucker Carlson podcast provided a lightning bolt of goosebumps for me. Initially when I moved to Texas, joined a company that provided an aligned purpose, and started my own podcast, there was a striking force of momentum within me that made me ultra-productive. Lately, l've lost some of that drive and motivation. As I reflect in retrospect on some of the parts of my ego that were healed from either plant medicine retreats, community, and/or other self-help activities, I began to realize that there was a great sense of drive from prideful fear. As Cernovich describes, when you enter into a spiritual realization, humility and humbleness presides. Heart intelligence activates. I'm reestablishing my sense of motivation and purpose through my natural, God-given gifts. Not becoming complacent, but being brutally honest, finding balance, and changing perspective. What is the "Why?" behind what you're doing?
