Fear is of our own imagining—you would laugh if you knew how weak, little and meaningless it is. Fear is like a frightened mouse that would attack the universe. This is not to invalidate people’s fears—they can seem quite powerful and intense—and overcoming those fears is not only possible but necessary. I told my college students today they ought to commit to no more half-measures in their lives. Commit and go all the way or dont bother trying.
