The blind-relay model is excellent, but the setup breaks down in heavily restricted environments. The macOS/iOS native clients claim to support QUIC obfuscation, yet the handshake consistently fails against Mullvad under the same conditions β even with QUIC enabled.
Using the same WireGuard config in the WG Tunnel app with QUIC mimic enabled manually in the peer settings works reliably. This shows that QUIC obfuscation functions when applied correctly at the client layer, but the native Obscura apps fail on the client β Obscura relay hop, which collapses under restriction.
The issue appears to be in the native clientβs QUIC implementation rather than the relay.
