At a certain size every system takes on a life of its own. The problem with centralized systems is that changes in those system are in a sense too easy, and that means once bad people get power in those systems, the system itself becomes evil. The virtue of decentralized systems is that it doesn't have this vulnerability.
The crypto summit tomorrow will have better dynamics than you think. I get that there are lots of shitcoiners, but think about it, is Garlinghouse going to argue for a SOL reserve? He can, but everybody there will be expecting him to be advocating for XRP, so they'll trash it, as well they should. The only thing they'll be able to agree on is Bitcoin, which is what David Sachs and Trump saw. They'll have some nominal concessions, but the main thing is going to be Bitcoin as that's the only politically viable one that's not grossly favorable to just one person in the room.
GM, my dog is awesome.
GM, just went to Ash Wednesday service. I'm giving up complaining for Lent, trying to be more grateful. Appreciate all of you here that make this a community.
GM, I'm grateful for all the red pills I've been given over the years from this community. Drop your favorite non-Bitcoin, non-Nostr red pill in the comments!

I don't understand all this hate against the SBR, especially if you're American. Do you care about the United States? Do you care about your neighbors? Every organization is incentivized to own Bitcoin, including governments. Would you rather that much worse governments get Bitcoin? Your ideal of "only ideologically pure people should own Bitcoin" was never going to be the case and if you think that, you have authoritarian tendencies and do not understand what decentralization means.
GM, Lent is coming up and it's a good time to think about giving something up for 6 weeks.
GM, Ukraine is not Zelenksyy and Israel is not Netanyahu. The leaders would like you to think that but the people are not their leaders.
