So of course, we got fucked out of the Hearing Protection Act and the SHORT Act, but because the Republicans are so reliably stupid and gutless, we have an opportunity to kill those two legs of the NFA anyway. With the tax on SBRs and suppressors now reduced to $0 as per the language in HR1, the necessary registration of suppressors and SBRs without an accompanying tax represents an unconstitutional infringement that can be challenged in court. Several pro-2A groups are readying a salvo of lawsuits against the federal government once Trump signs HR1 into law. This will be a long and protracted fight though, and the current SCOTUS has already more than proven that it is an avowed enemy of the Second Amendment.
