“Healing” has become as obfuscated and overused a term as the “trauma” that it entails.
Don’t think any of these things come wrapped in obvious and easily openable packages. The path to healing, and the reasons for trauma, are for the individual and the individual alone to find.
A true therapist will offer you the tools, the agency, and the empowerment to find your own path and forge it. THAT is healing.
