Was talking to friends in the creative business last night. Ended up writing this “open letter” to them.
Trying Primal… It’s got an OK UI/UX. Seems slow AF and I don’t like that I “trending” section. It’s always the big influencers but never a pleb. Still have loads of love for NOSTR, but the current hyper echo chamber is kind… eh. Looking for another client.
Considering deleting Twitter all together…
GN 🥃 Back from the world tour. Got to see some really amazing places and people, taste some really solid dishes, and experience life as a nomad. I liked it. A lot. Now that I’m back, I’m trying to figure out what to do next. Contract is over; business has slowed; developing new ventures; considering going back to the nomadic life and needing to get back to the gym. Lotta stuff to take care of, but at the same time, feels like theres nothing to do. Will figure it out eventually.

LBRY was the first decentralized social media platform for video creators. Even though it operated on its own token, it created a solution from the ever censoring YouTube platform. Over the years, LBRY has gone head to head with the SEC, accrued millions in debt, and lost. If anything, it demonstrates clearly the need for free speech oriented platforms (and money) to be completely, in its totality, decentralized. I wonder if NOSTR can pick up where LBRY left off…
GM Nostr ☕️ Read that USDC (on polygon) went Proof of Stake ❌ The Tether protocol froze a wallet ❌ Conditioning for CBDCs ❌ Gates are closing.
GM☕️ Been really cleaning up a lot of online data cleansing and it’s been a lot of work. Really making this month all about improving my privacy… but it feels pointless at times. My biggest discoveries… ☠️ Most popular mobile Bitcoin wallets run Google Services Framework and Firebase in the background… TERRIBLE for privacy. (Bitcoin has a privacy problem) ☠️ Many popular Nostr platforms also run with GSF and Firebase. ☠️ iOS is pretty awful when it comes to data privacy despite it trying for end to end encryption… and MacOS has spyware built-in to its native software apps as such as Finder (thanks Little Snitch). ☠️ The industry standard apps that we need to use for our clients are essentially data honeypots… ☠️ All of our industry and the project management systems use are all Google based. ☠️ Even though I run GrapheneOS and an air gapped laptop, use chat systems like SimpleX… my friends and family don’t and refuse too. So while I’m doing what I can to improve and harden my own personal data, my industry and personal relationships couldn’t care less. Being private makes you the odd one out… ironic. Obtaining privacy is definitely challenging in a world that doesn’t seem to really care or value it. The struggle continues...
Ran late for a conference call. Client’s team (10 of them) all talking about getting the latest vax because… *drum roll* climate change. They Didn’t Make It #purebloodsonly
