#WaymoGate
Thought experiment: How could robocars be used to purposely paralyze a city, either by government officials, external or internal terrorists, etc.?
So you see the robocar dilemma. Humans external to the vehicles need ways to get them to move when they're stopped in emergency situations, and ways to PREVENT them from moving in other emergency situations. These are all essentially situations where common sense by a human driver would more than suffice. But these vehicles can't deal with unusual situations with anything like human understanding. This is their potentially fatal technological flaw.
The photos and videos I'm seeing of the San Francisco WaymoGate situation show total chaos. Yeah, I'm calling it WaymoGate.
How would you like to be sitting in a Waymo robotaxi frozen in the middle of a busy intersection due to a city power failure on a dark rainy day? Thanks Google!
