This year at @The Bitcoin Conference I’m proud to display three of my finest works in stone. Nearly done sanding. A few of the tighter areas to finish and then I can move on to polishing. There are more air bubbles than I would have liked and some visible swirls in the clear resin, but I’m still happy overall with how it’s turning out. This sculpture was a pretty expensive experiment for me and the largest resin pour I’ve ever attempted, so I’m glad it worked out in the end.

And done. Right in time for Mother’s Day. My neighbor commissioned a planter as a gift for his mom and we settled on using this beautiful chunk of onyx from New Mexico because it slightly resembled a heart shape. Live near LA and want a stone planter? I love making planters in general so shoot me a message. Shipping costs are normally prohibitive though, so best if you live within driving distance…or have a lot of Bitcoin to spend.

Made some good progress today. Still working with 100 grit sandpaper and I’ll continue that tomorrow before moving up a grade. This hazy look is kinda cool, but I’m taking it all the way up past 3000 grit or higher before polishing up to a glass like finish. But now… bed.
