A little colour on our morning walk through the woods.
I will be attempting a halibut Oscar for the missus this evening. Thoughts and prayers appreciated.
Beef. It's what's for dinner.

The missus and I are booked for a 3 hour whale watching tour, a 3 hour tour, way the hell up Island at a place called Telegraph Cove, BC. We'll stay at some no-tell motel in Port McNeil, as decent rooms at the Telegraph Cove Lodge start around $400/night, and I'm not interested in spending a grand on a bed for a couple of sleeps. I'm super stoked for this; I've lived in BC going on 30 years, and have never done much touristy shit like this.
Even lesbian couples start to look like each other over time. image
Just when things were getting back to normal after the wife's stroke, she had cataract surgery today, so now I have to step up and take care of her again. I really do prefer it when it's she waiting on me. Oh well.
Around these parts they call me the stoned mason. I'm repairing the garden borders that haven't had any attention for a few years, aside from Labradors knocking stones around as they tussle in the yard. My back forgot how little it enjoyed this work, but was quickly reminded.
