“Rental Family,” director Hikari’s moving comedy about an American expat (Brendan Fraser) in Japan who takes a job where he plays roles not on a stage or a screen but in people’s lives. Philip, the expat, portrays a fish-out-of-water finding his way through a culture he doesn’t really understand. The story also represents Hikari’s own experience of being born in Japan and spending her teenage years in Utah. Dawn Little Sky, one of the first Native American artists to illustrate for Walt Disney Studios, died at the end of last month at the age of 95. Little Sky also appeared in TV shows such as Gunsmoke and Rawhide and in movies such as "Journey Through Rosebud," alongside her actor husband Eddie. She retired from the entertainment industry in the 1970s, becoming director of the Eagle Butte Cultural Center and teaching art and culture. In 2005, she was given South Dakota's Indian Living Treasure Award for her traditional dancing. Eminem is suing an Australian beach brand, saying its name creates a "false association" with him. Swim Shady sells beach umbrellas, bags, towels and shorts.
